In 2009 with a vision of a Motorsport Championship that would be capped in spending and tightly regulated to allow talent to win races rather than budget Peter Gwynne Motorsport was created to launch the Swift Rallycross Championship for 2010.

2011 saw the Swift Junior Championship introduced.

Despite the recession The Sport Championship has taken off, doubling the field in it's first year and is currently providing the biggest grids in British Rallycross.
​ABOUT PETER GWYNNE
​
Having grown up in the rallying world with his father Bill Gwynne - multiple Motorsport News Gold Star Champion. Peter has spent the majority of his time helping people into Motorsport through car and driver development, coaching and support.​

He has taught a wide variety of clients throughout the years, has done rallies with the likes of Boyzone star Shane Lynch, Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond and been fortunate enough to teach in countries such as Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Jamaica, Kenya and the Middle East.

During his years managing Bill Gwynne Rallyschool for his father, he developed a Junior Team working with youngsters such as Alistair Moffatt, Paul Swift and Quinten Milne.

He later worked with Touring Car Driver Andrew Jordan from the age of 13 through his years in rallycross, which saw Andrew collect numerous titles - British Junior Rallycross Champion, British Junior, BTRDA Junior, Super Series – Champion, BTRDA Junior Rallycross Champion, British Junior Rallycross Championship - Best Newcomer, British Junior Rallycross Winter Series Champion.

With a winter of testing and developing his car control in a 4WD at the age of 16 Andrew took the step straight up from the junior Mini to the Ford Focus Super Car. With the aim of obtaining a podium finish for a round in the first season Andrew achieve 3rd in the championship which he then went on to win the British Supercar title the following year before his break into British Touring Cars.

Much of 2007/2008 were spent in the Middle East working with Ammar and Faris Hijazi where he ran Team Al Mimari on the Middle East Rally Championship. During this time despite Mitsubishi being a favourite in the middle east, he introduced them to the Subaru Impreza shipping two Prodrive cars out there and running 3 cars for Lebanon including Multiple Lenbasese Champion Roger Fegali who is renound for driving Evolutions.

Fegali won the round including smashing several stage records.
